Jesus dont even start that, you'll jinx it

Haha! I hate to see how you react when we enter in talks with a better player than Naughton.

:D

He's in talks, the only thing stopping us from getting him now is if he rejects the move or someone else steps in. Either way, good riddance.

If he has a shred of decency in him he'll pursue talks with Everton and become their player rather than gallovanting off at the quickest opportunity to make a bigger buck.

the deal has been agreed between the 2 clubs the utd chairman has confirmed ithis, just need to agree personel terms with kyle. its as simple as that

BBC SPORT | Football | My Club | S | Sheff Utd | Everton to sign Blades' Naughton

Sheffield United have accepted a bid from Premier League side Everton for defender Kyle Naughton, BBC Radio Sheffield understands.
The Blades turned down an offer of £3.5m in June but a fee, believed to be around £5m, has now been agreed.
The 21-year-old full-back has been at Bramall Lane since the age of eight, coming through the same youth system as Everton centre-half Phil Jagielka.

Naughton is due to discuss terms with the Merseyside club on Monday.

Why? If Sheff Utd has agreed to the fee and Naughton plays tonight and for God's sake he gets injured, Sheff Utd are out their fee and Everton walks away. Nothing more than protecting the fee acceptance. Pretty sure Moyes would demand that Naughton sit this one out until negotiations with the kid are sorted out.

If Naughton doesn't agree on personal terms, I wouldn't call that indecent. He should be bargaining for all he can get - he's hot property these days and if someone (Villa) were to swoop in an offer 10K more per week, that's an extra 520K over the year. I'd love to get an extra 520K this year and given he's moving to the Prem, does it really matter to him whether its Villa or Everton aside from where he would have the better chance to play regularly and further his development - all personal biases aside.

He wont be playing either way. The price has been agreed, its all about sorting out the lads wages. Untill he says yes or no he wont be able to play in any game. Is like putting a deposit on a new car...the money's there to stop any other bugger taking it out for a test drive.

Talks due to take place on Monday- bet someone else comes in with a bid over the weekend.
Yup, Newcastle comes to mind.. (y)

Nah, seriously.. Villa might very well do it. Would be nice if the lad would fly up tonight so they could discuss it this weekend.
