Oh no, not spurs. Don't they have too many right backs already? It's like a graveyard for talent. Maybe Moyes will sell him the 'vision', I can't imagine Harry R doing that.

Sheffield United's fan view on him:

He's our best player at the club at present, no doubt whatsoever. I think the only reason us United fans aren't as bothered about his departure as we probably would be, is the emergence of young Kyle Walker, who is arguably just as good, just less experienced and younger.

I'd say his main attribute is his pace and his overall fitness, alongside his versatility. He's able to run up and down the line, and support the winger whenever he needs support. He's really pacey, and has often gotten us out of what seemingly looked like a tricky situation. His versatility is also key, he has proved over the last few months that he's just as capable to play left back as he is right.

I really rate the lad, and I'm a bit sad to let him go. But if he does leave, I sincerely hope it's to you. He can use Jags as a role model, and he'll have a lot of players and coaches around him that will significantly improve his development. About the fee? It's reportedly around £6m isn't it? You might just have found yourself a bargain there.

I still think we will get him. I think Jags will have a say in things and he will also see DMs way of bringing players on.

COME ON THE ALL ENGLISH BREAKFAST/BACK FOUR.

That's certainly one thing we have going for us - we get defenders in the England squad. Gotta be a selling point for young Kyle.

Why anyone would want to go to spurs is beyond me. Go there and get lost in the reserves, or play in the first team and get slated every week by the most fickle fans in football. God i hate spurs so fuc*ing much, always have done :@

It's not like Evertonians are ever fickle

Can we wrestle this thread back off the doom merchants please.

It's a gossip article in the Scum. Where's a "Doh!" smilie when you need one?

Even if they were going to try to jump in and match our bid (it's been accepted remember so why worry about them bidding higher?) lets just think of some reasons why he'd pick us.
Off the top of my head
1. Proven track record of giving young players time, support and first team opportunities.
2. Probably knows Jags already.
3. European football.
4. Closer to his family/friends, he'd only be moving down the M62 (is that the right one it's been a while?)
5. He can see the competition is not exactly world class (sorry Hibbo).
6. We've held a long term interest, players seem to like that.

There you go doom mongers there's 6 without mentioning working with the Moyesiah, all the failed young lads (and especially defenders) recently at Spuds or our league standings over the last few years.
He's also a young lad, Spuds wouldn't be putting him on stupid wages initially, certainly not the sort we couldn't match.

He'll sign next week, if not at least us positive fellas will be happy thinking he is for a few days. :D

Blackwell on SSN just then saying he may well have played his last game for them and that its just down to us to reach personal terms with him.

Things looking good now!!!

:)

I think the fact that Surs are coming in for him now sums up Harry Rednapp. He has seen DM do all the donkey work to agree a fee a to get the club to agree to sell, then he moves in to offer more money. The man has no scruples at all when it comes to dealing with other clubs and managers. Fair enough, if 2 teams were interested in any players and were both bidding then that is just business but this scumbag jumps onto things when they are halfway done. Its the same when he takes on another managers job or talks about managing another team when they already have a manager. 'Appy 'Arry my a#rse.

All too true mate!!

Pi$$e$ me right off that does. The fact that Moyes does all the graft, then arl jowels comes in to potentially swipe him, is out of order.
