It's never over till it's over I would suggest there is a reason we haven't replaced Jags or Zouma yet(we either know he's coming back or we have a loan in mind), and if he is the one we really want and can't get him this summer, we could loan someone and see what Zouma's situation is in January. Chelski are a freak of a club who have no loyalty to anyone, they would be likely to bin him off for good money as soon as they have cover. The RS waited for VVD in this way if it's the player you want there's something to be said for waiting.

I fancy Gibson has more of a shot at being our fourth choice CB this season than Holgate. I think Holgate needs to step up this season(probably as a back up RB/CB or get moved on.)
