Don't think the transfer ban affects any of this. He ain't gonna play for Chelsea next year either way. But he's not good enough for us and should be sent back regardless.

To be honest, even with a fully fit Mina, if Zouma goes I think we need another CB anyway, need 3 minimum back here, + Jags going, even though he has only played a couple of games, least the option was there. Mina could of done with this season fit to adjust to the league, its a shame really, esp for what we paid
Yeah we defo need a CB, 2 if we dont retain Zooms for sure.
I mean we have Holgate, who looks more like a fullback currently, Feeney, who we havent really seen a lot of, then theres of course Pennington.
But yeah, we currently have Keane and Mina for sure next season, Keane is "alright" I suppose, but Mina looks very much like somebody we cant rely on.
We defo need 4 CBs for the season.

Looks physically imposing, but has been the mainstay of a defence that has been bummed from set pieces all season, makes mistakes and seems to lose his marker pretty easily. Not worth the big money that Chelsea would command for him. As @LocalNative says, punt him alongside our other centre backs.

Pennington obviously will go, Jagielka is out, Williams is out and Zouma should go back to Chelsea. Keane is a bag of nerves and we should be desperately trying to offload him as a priority as soon as possible. Mina still has a chance if given a run in the team. Now is probably the perfect time to do so, but how can we judge him alongside either Keane or Zouma? It's completely unfair on him. At least Keane was also crap last season, and Zouma hardly set the league on fire with Stoke.
Holgate (backup), Mina, a new centre back and make a decision on Feeney (literally know nothing about him). I'd like a proven CB to come in to replace Keane, and take a punt on a cheaper option from abroad to add further competition, like a Matip-type who is doing so well for Liverpool.
Keane gone for 10-15m, two new CBs brought in for around 25m total.

I know some rate him highly but I just can't stand Zouma with Keane as a pairing.
They aren't leaders, they aren't solid enough. Zouma constantly uses his pace to bail himself and / or Keane out.
They don't inspire. They don't rollock and control Pickford.
That trio needs a seasoned, quality defender in there to take charge.
I'd honestly rather have Jagielka than Keane or Zouma and the former is about 40 with a beer gut.
