Most of the goals we've conceded from set-pieces have been in Zouma's 'zone' though.

He's a problem defending set-pieces, because he just doesn't know how to mark space or the man.

Not too sure they are all down to him tbh.
Keane & particularly Mina have been horrendous at Zonal marking.
Thats 3 fairly decent centre backs struggling with the system.

Ditch the system.

As things stand, he's part of an awful defence so we should be looking at all of our options in the summer and who is available and if they'll be more suitable than Zouma.

Oh not all of them, but a fair few.

And tbh though mate, Mina hasn't. In fact, the only time we've looked relatively comfortable in the zonal marking system has been when he was in the team. It's because he attacks the ball - Zouma and Keane both wait for it.

We've conceded - IIRC - three goals from set-pieces with Mina in the team. One was Burnley (a second ball - not really Mina's fault, but none of them reacted), Lincoln's (and that was Zouma losing his man, not Mina) and Millwall's first goal (Mina was useless in losing the first header, granted).

Mina is far from perfect and jury's still out but we've generally looked more solid - not that the bar is high - with him in imo.

I don't think it's that.

There's a reason Chelsea have loaned him out for the last two years.

He played well for them in Jose’s second season back with them. He started a league cup final playing in midfield which considering how unsure on the ball he looks now seems amazing. A lot of our recent goals conceded have come from him switching off.

Contract is up with Chelsea June 2023 mate. Also agree on the fee, it wouldn't surprise me to see Chelsea asking for around the £40m mark..

They'd only ask us for that, as we'd be the only club on the planet stupid and irresponsible enough to half-consider paying it.

Can get better for less than half the price from abroad.

2 reasons I don't want Zouma. Firstly reminds me too much if Yobo and Distin with the way he can look good then all of the sudden lapses in concentration a sometimes his pace saves him others it doesn't and for the money Chelsea want he makes too many if these errors. Secondly I prefer a left footed CB on the left side and with Mina and Keane both being right footed I would like the player to play alongside them to ideally be left footed.
