siggys goal was good !but zouma with the assist was something else ! Confidently coming out with the ball and great pace and accuracy with his pass ! Teed siggy up superbly !
Yes, but had he sent the same pass to 95% of our players, theyd have lost the ball I think. Quick thinking and feet from Siggy made it work.

With the new rules coming in about number of players clubs can have on loan , hopefully Chelsea will be willing to sell him. He wouldn’t be cheap but if he and Mina form a decent partnership then I do t really care about the price tbh. That would be the back 4 a keeper sorted until Coleman needs replacing . We need another winger then that’s sorted for the next few years, just a couple of strikers and Cm and we look pretty strong

I wouldn’t be counting on those rules changing that quickly.

To date all that’s happened is that FIFA have set up a commission that is going to look at the whole structure regarding players from squad sizes to agents fees included in there is transfers and loans.

FIFA have a habit of making these headline grabbing announcements and when the reality kicks in the descions are watered down or not implemented at all.

Approx 10 years ago it was announced that FIFA would ban 3rd party ownership and here we are not only is it still very much ok to part own a player several of the quite wealthy federations players in UEFA were able to block the changes.

He’s a good player, he’s looked even better next to Keane. It’s a shame that he isn’t our player, it makes me not want him to play as much as we are developing a Chelsea player for them to probably sell him once he’s back with them.

..Keane couldn’t match Vardy for pace but Zouma did (for the corner from which Leicester nearly scored late on). Whilst that’s not surprising, I thought Zouma might almost play as a sweeper looking to cover Keane’s lack of pace but invariably he was ahead of him.

When all are fit, how about 3 at the back.

Pickford
Coleman Keane Mina Zouma Digne
Gomes
Siggurdsson Bernard

Walcott Richarlison

I think that this formation would be pure filth at home. May concede a few away though...

I actually really like that, but think Gueye needs to start and one of Bernard, Walcott or Richarlison miss out.

As long as Sarri is there Zouma won't be going back. Zouma is decent with the ball but I don't see him passing it from his own box against pressure and not making mistakes. Sarri expects that his defenders can do that.

Other than Rudiger and Luiz who seem to be first choice, Chelsea have the likes of Cahill, probably into the last couple of seasons in the top flight with a contract that expires in May,Christensen young and developing and Ampadu who is going to be a top top player. They will be in the market for an experienced central defender but I can’t see Zouma going back there I see him as a rock sold defender but he doesn’t have the passing skills to play in Saris system

The market has gone mad and top defenders are costing north of £60 million. Zouma isn’t that level but he is a far better player than Keane who was valued around £25-35 million. If and a big if Zouma is sold Chelsea are going to want at least the top end of that and if he has a good season then that figure could nudge toward that £50 million mark

So. the people claiming Keane was Burnleys fastest player where chatting wham?
