I've been critical of some of his tactics, questionable at best, negative at worse, but if you're going to dish out criticism, you should be able to dish out praise, and I thought he nailed it today.

For starters, I think his lineup was the best he could have really done. And the subs, although forced, were spot on for once. Positive too -- bringing on Beckford was a good sub, because he took the pressure off a bit. And when I saw Hibbert warming up I thought "oh great, off goes Coleman and He'll slot NEv on the right". Happy to be proven wrong there.

So well in Davie. Still think we could have been a tad more ruthless -- Cahill's tactical free kick was OTT negative (should be pelting that in the box) -- but a clean sheet and 3 points against the [Poor language removed] has made my weekend. Thanks Davie.

Agreed mate. He was brilliant today, as he is most of the time.

Got it right today and made the changes. Even the forced ones, he made the right moves.

Sticking Beckford on for Arteta was well played. We were getting pinned back and needed an outlet. It if were Saha coming on, that game would've been 4-0. But very positive.

This could have been written by me - spot on.

Coleman gives us great balance and is an important outlet, really surprised today about how the majority of anything we did today came down the right hand side.

Clearly with Pienarr back we will win the league.

He still get's it wrong, we played for a draw from the 49th minute. As Ghost pointed out - any other team would have scored, and at least got a point.

Moyes is and always will be fantastic at getting the troops rallied for a peformance ( UTD, today ) but look at the cup peformance.. ( not pissing on todays peformance, just stating the obvious facts )

Do we still think its time for him to move on fellas?

If he is matching his potential than no mate, I have been clear on that. I will give praise when he is spot on. Although today I thought he invited too much pressure when we really should have battered these today.

Moyes' pointed that out in his interview, add to the fact Arteta and Heitinga picked up knocks, made his job hard but putting Beckford on was a good way of trying to free up the pressure.

Add to that Jags and Distin were on fire which helped.

Moyes did well today, I thought we invited a bit too much pressure onto ourselves in the second half, but we won the game and we deserved it so no complaints really. I think Alan Smith on Sky said Heitinga picked up an injury, in which case I understand why Hibber came on for him. Overall I'd say Moyes had a good match today, there was a bit of nerves towards the end, but other than that it was a good performance.

The only issue I'd take is the fact we could have had 4 or 5.

Calf strain.

Arteta with a knock too.

Ossie ankle.
