Kone

Martinez sayiing [about Gibson and Kone] that "if we could get them both back before the season ends it would be the best two signings." worries me.

We need to act in January to bring a replacement in. Lukaku cant do it on his own. Jelavic is atrocious and cant be called upon anymore. We need to spend out on a forward and recoup next summer if need be.
Lets have Vellios.

Imagine where we'd be now if that Lukaku deal had fallen through in the last half hour of the summer window! That's how much this club flies by the seat of its pants.

I cannot believe the knee-jerking here. What has happened to Everton supporters? Have we forgotten what makes us who and what we are?. Aroune's injury is TERRIBLE bad luck...for us AND him. Now, more than ever, OUR team needs solidarity...and all I hear is bull**** whining and woe is me-ing.
Grow some...we are EVERTON

Theres nothing to suggest the Kone buy was a panic buy. He had him at Wigan with little of his previous injury problems and he scored goals. Have to just trust his judgement.

We all know how strict the club normally is with the medicals so this is just unfortunate. Always a risk yes, with that injury history but every manager will take that risk at some point. Hasn't had the playing time to be judged yet for us.

Best of luck to the dude and please push Miralalas up top if we are without Lukaku!

Also spare a thought for my injury as im laying about with my leg in a cast and cant go to see Barça tonight. Faaaaaaaaaaack on both counts...

...agree

Sh1te happens, its how you deal with it that counts. Quite often under the Moyes regime things came good when we were forced in to things like playing Fellani up front or Coleman on the wing.

Super Kev might get a chance in the middle again where most of us want him to be.

The Alacarez injury componds the feeling we had a very mixed summer transfer-wise.

Still, there's nothing to do but get through to January with Lukaku and go into the market again. Someone like Long might be secured on the cheap given his contract is up. He could help us out until next summer when we could clear the decks in the striker department and start again.

Yes, I agree, but who takes up his position?
