Could be a blessing in disguise for him.

He was never going to get a look in for months with Lukaku, he'll focus on recovery and could come back with renewed vigour.

Let's not write write him off just yet Blues. Early days.

or...could be a blessing not in disguise for jelavic

10 games to get through before we can bring a replacement in. That's what should happen, but you can bet we'll have the season wrecked now by trying to struggle on without spending, hoping against hope for a quick Kone recovery.

This club has money to spend just from what they took in during the summer alone - it needs spending to make sure the season doesn't nose dive.

not sure about that mate, i think mr kenwright should keep that resting in his account incase of emergencies...we cant afford to be frivilous, altho i think mr kenwright should be allowed to spend a bit on doing his office up a bit

If Lukaku gets injured we're so f***ed.

Relying on a loan signing as our only decent striker for the next 5 months, pathetic.

Odd thing is that a lot of people been slating Kone for a while, but now he's injured where apparently in big trouble.

Don't think its the best situation and I would expect Martinez to bring in a striker in January anyhow but with Jelavic, Mirralas, Delefoulu & Naismith all able to play up front and with the likes of Hallam Hope, Kennedy, Velios playing in the reserves think we will be ok in the short term to be honest.
