Kone

If he spent more time in training rather than watching telly for gogglebox he could be a player.

Not happy with the amount of take aways he has and the fact he drinks out of a pot noodle.

May the vaults be with you mate.

Seriously did people not watch him play last season - hes a very good player.

Hes played 82 mins of football for us and people are binning him.

I remember people wanting Baines sold because he couldnt get in the team with Lescott and would never be a defender, i remember a certain few using the phrase dustbin, lad needs time.

He played for two hours against Stevenage

...I'm ok with Kone in reserve as I think he's streaky, hit and miss sort who could put a run together. I remember Alan Whittle coming in on the '70 run in and scoring 11 vital goals. I know we've paid money for this bloke, but I'm keeping the faith and this time out of the spotlight might just be what he needs.

Honestly, I prefer him to Jelavic at this point. I know he misses sitters, but Jelavic would be offside or on the ground rather than in position to miss.

I expect he'll get 4-5 goals off the bench this year. We spent too much on him, I think. If he was a few years younger I'd be fine with 6 million, but for a 30 year old bench player, it hurts. But I suppose strikers are just expensive. Wish we'd taken a risk on someone cheaper and unknown though...I just don't think Kone represents good business.

Buying Kone is the only thing that has worried me about the Martinez era so far (after watching us play under him and realizing how good a manager he is).
