Kone

I actually think Kone will be alright. The lad has shown some decent hold up play and gotten into good positions. He just needs to knock in a few.

We should all lay off for a few months at least.

What we paid for him is reserve striker money really. I'm not that arsed how he does because I can't ever see him being anything other than a sub.

I agree, but Kone is cheaper and not only in wages. Altidore transfer fee was 11 o 12 millions and Everton spent 5-6 millions on Kone.

Kone: 82 minutes in 5 matches and always as a sub.
Altidore: 491 minutes. 5 complete matches.

Altidore was $13 million USD, so about 8 million pounds.

Valid point still, though. Didn't know he was that much more expensive.

Still unfair to judge him given his very limited amount of playing time, but what would redeem Kone in the eyes of people at the seasons end? I dont think Martinez will play Lukaku and Kone together too often, so if Lukaku stays fit I'd be looking for 7 or 8 off the bench between now and the end of the season to feel he's a worthwhile purchase.

Kone is worst than Brett Angell. I'm absolutely furious at this obscene waste and shall be voicing my extreme frustrations not only at the next match but - and I do feel sadly compelled to do this - through picketing each and every shareholders meeting until he is sold. I feel like Kenwright played poker with the very soul of this club by sanctioning such a ridiculous purchase.
Disaster is round the corner.

If I can alert just one person to the danger Kone poses to the future of this club I'll consider my mission a sucess. KONE 2013
