Oi I liked Rodrigo! Van Der Meyde, Kroldrup and Bilyaletdinov spring to mind as some of the worst..

Kroldrup was the worst of that three - Bily at least scored several fantastic goals, and VDM was involved in the tictac goal.

Another 8 minute substitute performance at the end of a game which we'd already lost where people are expecting him to score a hat-trick or something.

You can criticise Kone's lack of effort possibly.... at the same time you could say that same for Lukaku. Yeah 4 goals in 3 games is very good, but to say his performance declines as the game goes on is the understatement of the century.

Anichebe got away with 5-6 years of playing like this and didn't get nearly the stick that Kone gets. Kone has still played less than a total of 90 minutes in his all of his games so far.

So he didnt get away with it then did he.

'didn't get nearly the stick' was the exact words I used in my post.

Anichebe got stick - he didn't get the stick that Kone is getting.

I implied it but I'll spell out for you Mouty - the severity of the criticism that Anichebe received was less than what Kone is receiving, even after Anichebe had consistently played poorly for 5-6 years. It was only the last 12-18 months of his Everton career that Anichebe improved.

Apart from one start, Kone has played just snatches of games as a substitute.

i) Anichebe was a youth product, we didnt pay six million for him
ii) Anichebe did on occasion show what he could do - some of the Europa League games, Newcastle away last season, City at home etc
iii) Anichebe hadnt played for a number of other clubs where people could watch and form an opinion on him beforehand
iv) Anichebe was rarely played in his best position
v) Anichebe did get stick for the way he played on occasion

As for his impact - all people want to see is that there is one.

And im gonna spell it out for you.

Kone played a FULL season for Wigan last Season, lets not pretend hes a young lad like Anichebe or an unknown player in a new League, hes a 29 year old Striker who has already completed a season in the League.

I aint doing this anymore, I will just wait for yall to catch up.

Kone is like a vapor and i don't see him making an impact unless Lukaku misfires which i doubt. I expect to see a continued late rotation between him and anemic Jelovic.

Are we not allowed to pass comment on what we've seen so far then?

Yes. If you want to have a stupid opinion. You have to allow players game time and time to get fully match fit before you pass judgement.

I don't see how you can have a valid judgement on his time at everton on the basis of 50-60 mins.

Big difference between judging his performances to date and then using that to pass judgement on his ability as a whole.

For example, Mirallas wasn't great yesterday. Doesn't mean he's not a boss player.

True but Mirallas needed Barry pulling the strings yesterday that's why he was stale. He was to linear not a threat.
