Kone

I still think Kone will turn out all right, and I'm more than happy to see him ahead of Jelavic in the pecking order.

He needs to bang one in soon though. A few more sitters and he'll cement his reputation as a Goodison comedy figure.

It's a confidence thing I'm sure....... The boys not a world beater by any stretch yet he can play.... Once he bags a goal and the fans make him feel loved he will be fine.

He's been unfortunate with us loaning Lukaku. The big man coming here, pretty much means Kone is now a reserve, unfortunately he's at an age he needs to be first team to stay sharp.

He's getting some amount of abuse on twitter.

All well and good being critical of a player on a fan forum, different tweeting directly at someone telling them they are a "useless c**t" and "[Poor language removed] off away from are [sic] club"

That sort of **** disgusts me if I'm honest...

divvies graft that.

Speaking of ex Wigan forwards... Remember when everyone was devastated at losing Rodallega to Fulham cos they offered higher wages.
Yeah.

i wouldn't say devastated, a lot thought he'd be a very good backup for free. Then he wanted about 65k and nobody really wanted him and laughed at his demands.

no idea why fulham accepted

I think he did more in 30 minutes than what Lukaku made in 60 against Hull. He was just unfortunate.

This is exactly what I thought on Saturday. He got himself in far more scoring opportunities than Lukaku did in his 60 mins on the pitch.

I also thought Baines looked massively off his normal standard and wondered why Mirallas kept taking the corners and free kicks?!

I'll probably get shot down for this, I know he missed a sitter yesterday, but I thought his overall contribution to the team in the 25 minutes he played was far more effective than Lukakus 65 minutes. Hull had done their homework on Lukaku very well, Kone gave them more problems with his extra pace late in the game. It's too soon to write him off, he may turn out to be badly Henderson but we need to see if a goal or two will help settle him in. Lukaku taking Goodison by storm has heaped extra pressure on his shoulders. If he spends the entire season failing to deliver, that's the time to judge, not now.

I agree mate, but I do think Pienaar can be credited with our upsurge in attacking verve near the end. Kone played his part though, made a chance for himself just after the horror miss that was far more than Lukaku had managed in an hour.

Kone is boss i have total faith in him.

Going against popular opinion on this one.

i'm with you. he probably won't justify the price tag, but he has many aspects which will help us. we basically swapped him for anichebe, there's no arguing who's had the better career. nothing against vic like.
