Player Valuation: £60m
John Paul Kissock has made this week's Setanta Sports SPL Team of the Week for his performance against Kilmarnock.

Setanta's Gordon Pope was thoroughly impressed with young JP's performance: "Another on-loan player in the side, and another on-loan player who has excelled in the SPL.

"Kissock, contracted to Everton, may have had to wait his for his chance but he has shown why he is on Davie Moyes books. Playing behind the striker he is difficult to pick up and floats around the pitch causing endless bother to the opposition defenders and Saturday was no different.

"A constant threat to Jim Jefferies side that never stopped working, he must be one of the few good things to have come out of Gretna’s season in the top flight."

SPL Team of the Week: Artur Krysiak, Will Haining, Gary Caldwell, Christophe Berra, Dougie Imrie, Wilo Flood, John Paul Kissock, Andy Dorman, Aiden McGeady, Chris Porter, Scott McDonald

Theirs been a few really good reports about JPK from scotland. Will he get a go next season for us. Or would it be better for his development if he was on loan for another season. Maybe a championship team?

No point keeping him around if he's still not ready. Someone like coventry or wolves could be good for him i think. Unless the gaffers thinks it time to give him a go.

Just hope he's cut that daft wig he has on his head!!!....:D:D

Don't know much about him but good to hear that he's doing well.

That can only bode well for his future, whether it's with us or someone else.

Never seen the lad play, ive heared conflicting reports, some think hes the second coming and others say hes terrible and should get shut!

Like most things i am guessing the truth is somewhere in the middle!

Do people rate him?

Good to hear. One of the big doubts about him has been his size so for him to do well in Scotland seems to scotch those fears. It would be great if the likes of him, Rodwell and Gosling make the first team next year.

hope this lad gets a chance after all the reports, as for the swede....i had 1 not too dissimilar, if it makes him feel good then stuff what they say lad keep it, wish i had as its only nostrils and ears for me these days.

Cant see him ever making it at Everton, he is far too lightweight for the team and hasnt developed into the player we hoped he would, if we can offload him i think we will do in the summer

Dont you think ossie is lightweight? he's a great player. So is Arteta an AJ an plenty more who have made it.

I know what your saying, but its about attatude an skill more that how big on strong you are!

football is becoming a non contact sport so being lightweight doesn't come into it, if njmanda vidic wants to throw his weight at someone wether they are 6ft and 18 stone or 4ft3 and 6 stone it's a foul either way, gone are the days when dave watson could use his size to physically displace someone like jesper olsen from the ball.
bring him back he could get us double the pens in the pl next year
0 x 2 = 0
ok he might get us some.

They both have slight builds similar to JPK but the difference is they know how to use it were JPK still looks like a kid

Amazingly people are different. If he takes longer to mature, then so be it, no skin off our back. He is proving he can handle himself in the SPL, playing well at a poor club.

Thats the purpose of the loans moves, experience. It won't hurt to stick it out for a couple more years. If he turns out crap then we won't have lost anything, there will still be plenty of lower league teams who will buy him.
