I used to the pro move until Stevens came along.

He's dead convincing isnt he?

 it may come as a surprise, but at first i was completely in favour. this was partly because i thought it was a case of hobson's choice - the club's got no money so we'd better accept whatever we can get, especially as wyness said the main reason for moving was to be able to better support moyes squad development.

however, the alarm bells started to ring for me when wyness said that estimated additional revenue, not profit, from the new stadium would be approximately £10million. i was wondering how much would be left for moyes after the deduction of additional costs, in particular any further debt needed to fund our part of the stadium. subsequently we've heard plenty about how costs are going up so everton will have to take on more debt & the transport plans involve everton incurring additional costs to help manage the match-day logistics. furthermore, the range of revenue generating activites have been restricted. this all leaves me thinking poor old moyes might be lucky to see any extra from the stadium.

so now i'm not too keen on the idea & will be mightily relieved if everton's involvement is shortly at an end. of course that then raises other concerns, like wtf next? so i won't be celebrating.

No not really, he is 1 of the better ones though

well we probably don't have enough data to make a completely convincing case pro- or anti- so to some extent it depends on how you fill in the blanks, or maybe some don't bother & just assume the board have those points covered & we just don't know about it - maybe they're right.

i'm not going to claim those in favour are wrong, i think they are but that's just my judgement. one thing's for sure, if it does all still go ahead i hope my concerns prove unnecessary & the stadium proves a far greater success than even the most ardent supporter may have imagined. i certainly don't want everton to fail so i can celebrate being "right".
