missed a sitter in the first half but always seems to be involved when we do something well
Pressing and running a lot, obviously more valuable than playing with the ball. How he gets 90 minutes in that spot without us creating much in the second, with options just rotting on the bench, is truly baffling
gotta help the right side moreThought he kept trying but when your the free player, you've got to be making things happen all the time.
Would be complaining to PGMOL
gotta help the right side more
we're so one sided atm
The issues are our left back isn’t great going forward, our right back is even worse and whichever striker we chose they offer next to nothing in terms of threat behind, movement or link up play. KDH got into several excellent positions but he had literally no options. He gets drawn to the left to support Grealish, as Myko isn't overlapping and Dewsbury-hall is left footed. That means we have two attacking players that side and are reliant on Garner or Gana filling the 10 position either as support or arriving late.
That causes problems for us: Dewsbury-hall isn't in position when Grealish takes on his man; We're reliant on Gana or Gana getting into the box to support the striker - not happening - or shooting from the pull back; and our covering midfielders are often both pushed father forward than they should be leaving a yawning gap between our midfield and defence.
Note how he's rarely on the right side of the attack, instead relying on Garner to make the run to support Ndaiye, again leaving us without cover. There was one point in that game where Dibling had to dribble 20 yards infield just to find a pass to his no. 10 and the ball then recycled left again so we couldn't stretch the Hammer's defence.
Either Moyes is telling him to drift left to support Grealish as Myko doesn't overlap or support or he's not got the discipline to be a 10.
I like him and think he's a good player but there's something wrong with how he's being deployed.
Certainly there’s a world where we can possess the ball and create chances. I’m just not sure what he’s done in his career that when the chances don’t come, he’s undroppable. Grealish yes. KDH? We have options to change the way we play.Pressing and running a lot, obviously more valuable than playing with the ball.
Deja-vu but he can play with the ball.
Yep this is spot on. It’s the reverse of what Sigurdsson did a lot. We’re getting pretty much zero production in the box from our 9 and 10. It’s a real problem. He gets drawn to the left to support Grealish, as Myko isn't overlapping and Dewsbury-hall is left footed. That means we have two attacking players that side and are reliant on Garner or Gana filling the 10 position either as support or arriving late.

Thought KDH was poor in a midfield 2 in pre season Macca, I'm sure about him there. Definitely need a little more, I hope we give Alcaraz a go in the 10 now.I think thatll continue as Moyes just doesn't want to experiment
He could easily move Grealish to 10, Ndiaye to the left, KDH into midfield 2 and Dibling rw.
He's insistent that KDH is the 10 and that then means Grealish has to be left and Ndiaye right.
