2025/26 Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Played really well yesterday. Some of the basic things he does - recycling the ball in tight areas or simply moving the ball quickly and with quality when we are in transition - might go unnoticed but make a big difference and is something we have been crying out for. I do wonder sometimes what Doucoure would have done in similar positions, which makes me inexorably happy. Loving his link ups with Grealish in the half spaces on that left hand side, but I do think that he could spread the love a little bit with Ndiyae too. Something for Moyes to work on.

Should have done better with the header last night but was still a really good showing.

On the receiving end of another awful bit of officiating. We'll miss him on Sunday

He does a lot well. There is also a pretty problematic hole in our team as far as getting shots away and playing the ball into the striker goes. Now he’s not solely to blame for either of those, but he is playing a position where those are part of the job.

A hat trick of records then, 5 yellows in 6 games, plus the first yellow for taking a free kick too quickly and the first yellow for a legitimate tackle / interception.

Players from the Sky6 getting a reality check about how other teams players don't get the same treatment.

Half his studs down on Walker-Peters ankle and we’re acting like it’s the worst decision in the history of football. The persecution complex isn’t helping this club.

Indeed.

Should have done better with the header yesterday and possibly should have had a crack himself when bearing down on the penalty area but moved it onto Ndiyae instead, although that might be being pedantic. He did make himself available for shots/crosses when Grealish had the ball but don't think Grealish found him at the right times or sometimes over/under cooked the pass. Think Grealish had a below par game yesterday and our attack stuttered as a result.

I do think he has some Grealish blinkers on at the moment, which is kind of fair enough. Good players tend to only really trust good players.

However I do think he has more of a responsibility to look for the strikers at times, even if you are kind of expecting to lose the ball as a result.

You really dont understand football at all do you?
Sometimes decisions go against you. Stand up and move tf on. We went out and played absolutely terrified at Anfield and all anyone wants to talk about is quick free kicks.

I’m not even saying the bias stuff is wrong, but good god does it do nothing for us to drone on about it all the time. It’s one thing if it’s just the fans but now the players are every week. It’s bad.

he reminds me of a squirrel the way he wriggles in behind defenders, very good at that diagonal run away from goal but creating the space to then get in behind

plus his face and tapered haircut are also quite rodenty

You can’t possibly think that’s a yellow. It wasn’t late, it wasn’t reckless, it was entirely accidental in a contact sport played at a high pace. Was an awful decision, and picking up a ban for it is very hard to swallow.

The persecution isnt helping this club.

Its funny how one of the better players in the league in Grealish sees it plain as day, but you think its absurd. Hes actually seen what its like on both sides and its shocked him. You have been conditioned, and apparently conditioned well.
