..those Ormskirkians are very clannish, @LinekersLegs and Dowell might be divided by a huge ocean but they are from the same pot.
He seems to be a very Silva like player. Him, Lookman, Vlasic and Walcott must all be looking forward to playing under a progressive attacking manager.
Didn’t silva utilise Hughes a lot for Watford? Dowell is a better version of Hughes.

For me Dowell has once again proved he is talented but inconsistent. The same weaknesses he displayed before the loan were seen again. He has a marked tendency to fade from games or fail to show at all.
I don't think he will be anything but a bit part player in the PL ,if indeed even that.
Annoyingly I think we let a far better player go in Liam Walsh.

He is 20.
At that age Kevin De Bruyne was getting similar reviews in Belgium. Too slight and drifted from games.
..i’m not sure of his contract situation, but if he’s not sold in the summer he needs to be offered a new deal.
I liken him to Ozil in the way he drifts in and out of games. He’s got talent but that’s not always enough. I’m not sure he’s got any fight in him.
Maybe Ozil is a bit too flattering. Maybe Bilyaleydinov would be a better comparison.
I think De Bruyne is the best example particularly if you read the article linked to a few pages back. His passing style is very similar to De Bruyne and he’s an Everton player and only 20. We should allow him the time to fully develop. Get him signed up to a new contract and start giving him some game time.
