Jagielka has done nothing wrong to be fair. I would say he has been our best centre back this season.

Let’s see how he does in the next 2 games. He’s been ok this season, but let’s not get carried away. The guy is past his best and need to be replaced in the summer.
I said this after the Stoke game, but in the opening 20minutes he passes the ball straight to stoke players about 3 times under no pressure. And also played another couple of hospital balls. And then went totally into his shell and basically refused to even attempt a forward pass. Every pass was to Coleman, Keane or Pickford. He’s not the only one, all our centre backs are a nervous wreck. I’d say holgate the best from a technical point of view, but he’s not brilliant.
To move forward as a team, we need centre backs and midfielders that are comfortable in possession, Jones & smalling wouldn’t help this, as they also panic with the ball.
We desperately need at least one centre back who can drive forward with the ball and can ping a 30/40 yard forward pass, that takes out the opponents midfield
