Because if he doesn't score then he does nothing but "work dead hard" for 90 minutes. We've had abar 4 shots in 10 matches thanks to the creative freedom he provides. I've laid a case out in the gylfi thread.

He's doing the same sort of play DCL does, wide forward with average finishing but getting praised to high heaven and Dom gets slagged right off.
