Very pleased with Kieran Dowell this evening.
For me his anchoring of the midfield allowed Sigurdsson that extra freedom to push forward, and KD linked well with Tom Davies, who had a much better game too than of late.

I think Silva needs to pick the right games for him to play in. I'm glad he played him in central midfield tonight as I think there's an opportunity for him to get game time there in home games against teams that park the bus.

I also think having a left foot in midfield adds a bit more balance to our play. I was saying earlier, despite his languid style he's a deceptively quick runner when in possession.

Noted mate lol, his passing style does remind me of him but it’s more his physical development I’m talking about. Took a few years for him to really start imposing himself and I think Dowell will be the same. He’s still a young player, but what potential he’s got!
