The Maupay signing was so bad that it kind of tarnishes the good that he has done. He has gotten some good ones in. He has failed to get quite a few in and he completely got baited by the likes of Leeds who strung us along with Gnoto. He has been completely justified in his signing of O'Brien and I think the loan signings are decent enough for loan signings. It can't have been easy to work with Sean Dyche who must have disagreed with him on every player he brought in and refused to work with some. Overall he did okay. He had a tough job

I cant tell if youre joking or fishing here?

The thing is though mate, that's quite a good hit rate for West Ham really.

Like Scammaca was a big miss, but I just can't imagine that being a Moyes signing.
Why not? Moyes has always been terrible at signing forwards.

The only really good one he signed in 11 and a half years with us was Yakubu. Saha was okay. It has always been his Achillies' heel. I would say that it is VERY likely that Moyes would have signed Scamacca based on his previous record with strikers.

It is worth noting that we had no money and strikers are the most expensive players in the game .

Trying to sign a decent striker is much more difficult than signing a decent cb , full back or midfielder

From yesterday's lineup:

Pickford: Already here.
O'Brien : signed by Kev, not favoured by Dyche, turns out he's outstanding.
Tarkowski : signed by Kev, on the whole superb for us on a free.
Branthwaite : kept on by Kev and not loaned out, now world class.
Mykolenko : Already here.
Gueye : Re-signed by Kev, possibly our player of the season.
Garner : Signed by Kev, great player.
Lindstrom : Signed by Kev, not favoured by Dyche, turns out he's got potential and better than seen under a good manager.
Ndiaye : Signed by Kev, actual class, won't be here long.
Doucoure : Already here, we have a good win ratio when he plays and scores, given a new contract by Kev.
Beto : Signed by Kev, not favoured by Dyche, under a proper manager starts scoring.

Big Kev has been doing bits.
Yes true, I think we would be foolish to let him go.
I like many judged these players when Dyche was here, look at some of them now.
Dacoure for instance gets some stick but our win ratio when he plays speaks for itself.
Ndiaye and Beto say no more.
Imagine working for this basket case of a club when Moshiri was here, and stubborn Dyche killing any confidence the players had.
Personally I think he's done a very good job, especially trimming the wage bill because a so called self made billionaire can't calculate PSR spend and drops him right in it.

…yep, the contract situation is a real mess, I imagine the club are already speaking to some regarding extended deals (Gueye, Doucoure, Keane etc) just to ensure we have squad numbers in the short-term. Big decisions to be made re loanees too.

We cannot extend Keane. He has to go this summer, I can’t take another season with the prospect he might get on the pitch at some point.

Don’t mind some of the stuff that he has done. But at the same time, like with Brands, like with Walsh, wasn’t strong enough to enforce his role at the club. Being overruled for players like maupay etc and going along with it.

As some have said for Thelwell, there’s no excuse for signing bad players. Including not having money. Moyes had enough money to buy Scamacca and Haller

What choice did he have? He’s not the owner, or indeed the chairman is he? Brands to be fair to him, was equally hamstrung by those above him. They couldn’t simply insist because the final decisions weren’t ultimately theirs.

You want to get rid of one of the best senior management appointments the club has ever made.

Then replace with "professionals".

I'm certain these Americans share the same thought process.
Sounds very much what some companies do after they take over another. Just sack everyone even half competent to make their mark. How often has this actually worked?
