Yeah but the point I'm coming across is we have to spend big for once, show a bit of ambition instaed of trying to bring in cheap gems.

£17m on Strootman, £2-£5m for a GK and £10m on a striker with the Fer/TV money.

I think he's worth a lot more than that, but he's United's 4th choice striker so they're unlikely to demand a premium rate for him.

The way Rooneys been played this season I think it's him who'll be going this summer rather than Hernandez. Especially with Falcao, Cavani and Lewandowski all said to be on the move in the summer. Ferguson always has a goalscorer from the bench in his team and Hernandez is that. Sort of a Solskjar. Welbeck can't score and will most likely be gone in the summer too on loan or something. Can't see him selling Hernandez.

I don't see no reason why we shouldn't go in for this fella, I don't care if he costs £17m, it's time to splash the cash and stop being tight arses.

And I think he's better than Fellaini IMO.

Ah right, so similar to Fer.

I think if we build a team around our wingbacks/Mirallas we may actually have a pacy squad for once, one of the main reasons why I don't have a problem with Fellaini going. Yeah we'll miss him but the price he'll command would be a lot especially with the likes of Zenit on his tail. I can't honestly see him going to another PL club.

The sort of signing we need in our team really, would show real intent for next year, even if we went back for Fer I'd be very happy.
