Thought he was great his first couple of seasons then he just went gash. Never recaptured his early form...nowhere near and that was the disappointment in him.
Ooh. Quite bad that.

I am surprised at such an outburst at this stage.
I can understand that he wants to leave but the fact that no club was prepared to spend money to buy him tells us a lot.... he is not highly rated.
Let him want to leave , but keep him mouth shut and let his agent work over the next four months to get a new club, in the meantime if he impresses then it would be easier to engineer a move away.
I have seen a suggestion in earlier posts that the problem may lie with the attitude of the manager, but did it also lie with the attitude of the previous manager who also had a falling out with the player ?
Agree, especially when linked up with Coleman. Kev and Baines never really seemed to be on the same wavelength although thought he did better when Oviedo was playing.I think he is much better on the right side of the field, but he is rarely played there for some reason. When he is on the left, he is always tempted to cut inside and get on his stronger foot. On the right, he is much more disciplined and plays better football.

Photos of him on Twitter with Olympiacos shin pads in his shorts whilst with Belgium. What?
I think one of the problems managers face is that they see a player that is ambidextrous and think "Awesome. I have a player that can cut in and hit crosses with either foot." They always seem to lob these players onto the left side of the field because there just aren't that many lethal left footed wingers in the game. The reality is that he really favors his right foot.Agree, especially when linked up with Coleman.
