Kevin Mirallas

He had ample opportunity under Martinez and threw it back in his face. The feller acted like a clown looking to get shots off from 40 yards out, lunging in and getting sent off, grabbing the ball off designated penalty takers. I'm sure he's a big hit in the dressing room.

Punt asap.

I think he's the type of pacy player who needed some consistent time gelling with his team, and he's getting that now, and getting motivation. I know it's partly RM, partly injury, partly suspension that is to blame, but he's not played consistently for a couple of years, and that's the reason we've not seen him at his best. Who would not want to play well, so if we give him a chance, ok he's not getting back into the Belgium team, but at least he'll have pride to play for, and maybe that last big transfer he might want (though I think this is his level now, and he has to make it work at Europa or CL with Everton)
All people require different managing techniques, and especially so 'entertainers'.
Kevin needs to know he is wanted and is a trusted member of the first team squad, and needs regular games.
Every naturally talented person comes with heavy'baggage' and will show inconsistency. That does NOT mean they are melts, it means they need encouragement and be aware they have the full support of all about them.
Give Kevin the games, encourage him through his low spells, support his flair, give accolades for the good skills.
Ronald is a different animal to the disciplinarian style of Moyes, the spiteful style of El Loco, and will, I am confident, be managed correctly by Ronald Koeman to maximise his skills.
Obviously, time will tell, but I would like to think the positive supporters will be pleased with the results.

Couldn't disagree more, ridiculous shout.
It amazes me the slack that feller gets cut. A history of acting like a complete tool in a blue shirt and he's forgiven after scoring a goal (after having failed to clear a ball on the backpost to concede one, btw).

The pertinent thing though is that only consistency will save him under Koeman's tenure here...and he has zero ability to knuckle down and put it in week and week out without making a spectacular show of himself.

What's your issue with him? Very creepy

The issue is the free pass he gets when others players are slaughtered. You'd think he was Messi class.

Anyway, I'll leave it there. He's got on the wrong side of the last two managers and his team mates, and he'll undoubtedly do the same again soon enough so this will resolve itself under Koeman.

The last two?

When did he have a problem with Moyes

Kev never got a free pass, most on here laid into him big time after the penalty thing and rightly so. It was fifty fifty when he was sent off after being brought on with 90 seconds to go on calling him a tit and blaming Martinez for not giving him a chance and making him try too hard and most people called him a tit after the West Ham first half sending off but he never gets a free pass. So far so good this season, hope he can keep it up in the new system under Koeman.

....I think Mirallas is a talent, goal scoring wingers are a premium and he should be recognised as one. He had a spell a season or so ago where he demonstrated just how effective he can be. The down side is I don't think he's the best of professionals and his attitude can be poor.

“I hope Romelu signs a new contract with the team because he is a very important player.

“In the first 30 minutes we had a lot of space for Gerard Deulofeu but it was difficult because the defenders of West Brom are very strong so it was not easy. But when we changed with Romelu, he was a real striker.

“We had Gerard on the right and me on the left and Ross Barkley as No10 and straight away we had possession. And when you have possession with good players you have a lot of opportunities.”

“He changed immediately and when you are a player and you see that you are happy because you see clearly that he has the solutions to win the game.”

I do enjoy clicking on the "show ignored content" button once in a while, just to see the usual suspects peddling their special "look at me, look at me" brand of throbbing idiocy.

Mirallas has looked pretty good in both outings this season, and I think he will get far more starts under Koeman than he ever did under Martinez. He looks natural on the left and I think that Koeman's repeated references to Bolasie being a striker (during the presser) are indicative that Kev is going to be our LW for at least the next season.
