Kevin Mirallas

On the whole I think most still love Kev. For some reason some think it's his fault that Roberto never forgave him after the penalty thing though. Yes he was a tit that once but who isn't a tit sometimes?

I really rate Mirallas as a player, although he does go missing in some games. I don't like his petulant attitude though. He thinks he's better than he is sometimes. The whole thing over the penalty was stupid. Baines should always be our penalty taker. The manager should have appointed Baines as the taker but he was too weak. I don't think we'll have that problem with RK.

I can totally get why he was frustrated and yeah I think you're right, he cares about the game I just wish he could channel his frustration positively cos when he plays like he's on a mission he's near unstoppable, like in that derby, just a shame the red mist comes over him a bit too often.

I'm hoping with Koeman in charge we'll see a different player. I think RK will manage him better on and off the pitch.
Spot on mate, if he's shown the love we show him by RM he will be back to his best and we know that he is as good as anyone when he's at his best. This is the kind of lad that buys a gold Bentley so yeah he has an ego and when he's being left out of the team in place of Kone, Cleverley or Osman every week I'm not surprised he had the red mist!

It's mad.

There's a thread on Denis Starcquilarse and he gets worshipped. Don't understand Evertonians at times.
Not really the same case - people who dislike Kev dislike him cuz he's talanted but also a shitehawk, whereas people who worship Stracq do it purely because the lad was utterly terrible at football but gave 150% in every second he was on the pitch.

Kev's pompousness and tantrums vs. Stracq's incredible passion and effort - wonder why people like Stracq more?

Ever see Kev in a derby?

He's been absolutely tarnished by Martinez's complete inability to lead. The man is fantastic.

Yup, I've seen him - fair play he's passionate there.

Seen him against West Ham (or West Brom?) last year, when he came on and deliberately got sent off? Or the continuous moaning and selfishness on the pitch. Or the occasional hiding away when the game doesn't go his way? Or missing nearly every easy chance because trying too hard for some reason (case and point - match against United, tried to power it in from 3 yards out for some reason, missed an amazingly easy chance).

I'm happy he's passionate against the RS, but if he was as passionate against everyone else (or at least most of the others) he'd be the absolute best. Hopefully Koeman can make him be like that, but he'll be back to being a pissbaby in no time.

He'll be a pissbaby if we play absolute guff while he sits on the bench behind Arouna Kone only to be brought in for the last 3 minutes chasing a game that we should have won by 4 goals.

I actually don't blame him for getting pissed about that. If you do, fair enough, but talented players tend to want to actually play...and he was clearly being kept out of the team for stupid reasons. Either personal, or because Martinez can't set up a team to save his life.

Do you hate...literally every Everton player that gave up at the end of last season? (which, by my count, is all of them bar a few kids)

Oh that tantrum I agree with - he actually stuck it to Martinez for taking the piss.

Are you seriously saying he's not more or less the same all the time, even when he was playing regularly? I can't count the amount of times I've said "FFS KEV!" for something stupid he's done, or for being selfish, or for trying too hard.

Not taking away his talent, he's obviously got it, but to say he's some sort of amazing player would be rather odd, seeing as even at his best he was amazingly inconsistent. Even against Utd/Betis (IIRC) - he'd show some amazingly slick skills... then the next touch he'd lose the ball in a stupid way, misplace a 10 foot pass, cross far too hard and miss every target (or not cross at all and get the ball taken off him), or, as it happened, volley the ball out for a goal kick from 3 meters out.

I genuinely like Kev and want him to succeed with us, but ^ and tantrums will always be beaten by 150% effort and passion, which you could see in Stracq, which was the original, er, 'argument' I guess. It's just the fact you knew if Stracq missed a chance - he's crap, all he can do, fair play actually getting to that chance (see the Chelsea goal). Seeing Mirallas miss a chance or two every other game, and they're usually easy ones, breaks my tiny black heart. The thing that annoys me is that, 3 min later, he'll dribble past 7 players and backheel an assist or something, the tit ffs.

*Remembers that first touch against Betis, reconsiders everything written/life.

I think he's going to do great this season. He can be frustrated easily if things don't go his way, but I think Koeman is going to get the best out of him. I think him and geri are going to be deadly in the attack this season.
