Kevin Mirallas

here are my thoughts today after the dust has settled so to speak. football matches are won and lost with a kick of the ball ...if Kev had put it in the top corner none of us would of cared and we would of celebrated and said it was a good call....He missed - thats football. the other part is like it or not he is one of our best players and to loose him now would be bad in our current situation....if he is not going to sign a new contract then we keep him until the summer and get rid - real simple - no player is bigger than the club and we will move on as we have always done ...

If Spurs come in for KM now cash in after last night no one is bigger than EFC and that debatable confrontation by him last night has split the dressing room - RM has to grow some guts - Martin Jol fined a player for those exact actions he did last night over that pen!

It seems quite obvious that Mirallas has got his eyes on more money and chances of silverware elsewhere.
That's fine.
And if rumours of Coleman yearning for a move to Man Ure are to be believed then that too is fine.
Sell them, for the highest price possible.
What we don't need at this club is players who don't want to play for us.
Sell those who aren't in it 100% and buy in those who good enough and willing to fight for the cause.

Amen to all that mate. Good players will.come and go but that's just football. If your not here 100% focused on Everton the absolutely do one.....Once we've fleeced the buying club of course!

To be fair, Lukaku, Baines, Naismith did all they could there without grabbing the ball off him and starting something. They ask him, then tell him. He doesn't listen.

The only one who doesn't say anything is Jags...who's was thinking of booking a holiday at the time.
Aye, he's the captain as well.

Martinez has lost his authority basically. It looks like the players have no respect for him. Players asking can they play more direct suggest that they are fed up with his style and want to play a more effective style of football. The squad is the best we have had in ages and are underperforming and are rewarded with a `warm weather` trip! High time ferguson kicked some ass and turned this round, Martinez appears to be a dead man walking

That is completely ridiculous. Martinez(and Naismith) handled the situation perfectly in the post match interviews. There isn't a football club in the league were the players don't make suggestions to the coaching staff based on there experieces in play. The only person at fault over the penalty incident was Mirallas, and its obvious that the rest of the players, while backing the Naismith/Martinez media statement are really mad as hell at KM. That isn't 'having no respect' for the manager...in fact its the opposite.

If he had buried it, having watched it back, id still be seething with him.

Going against team mates wishes is just not on, he's not our penalty taker, he bloody well knows full well he's not and he showed the club, the fans and his own team mates absolutely no respect for what I can only think was his own gain.

Maybe, and I'm not even certain, but I might perhaps see some justification for what he done if he himself had went and won us the penalty, but he didn't, and I'm at a loss to explain what was going on inside that idiots head last night.

It's a little reminiscent of when Lescott wanted a move, we went to cack for a bit. Anyone wants to go, let them go for a decent price and let Bobby try and find some gems (although i must admit i'm not so sure how well he will spend it)
