He was boss.

Ey lads, love Pienaar and everything, but how many goals have we scored without him in the team?! We are a so much better attacking force without Pienaar.
Pienaar's been crap this season, we're now on 5 wins in a row without him. Mirallas, McGeady and Del should be the ones starting as the wingers.

They do say that football is a simple game,if things aren't going well with the ball at your feet, just work harder closing down space and pressurising opponents.looks like Kevin is getting it.

Just rewatched the game and Mirallas really was fantastic. Watching it live I didn't fully notice probably due to my raging boner, that Everton gave me, blocking my view. Really good to see after he had a few poor performances a little while back.

How close was he to joining Arsenal then? Were they genuinely interested or was it just speculation?

He looks a much more complete player under Roberto, probably needs to be more consistent but I see him getting better year on year.

Mirallas can be frustrating. In top form he's probably the most talented player in our team. At times this season ive almost forgot we've had him because others are playing so well. Then he'll put in a performance like on Sunday and you remember how class he can be. Could get us to top 4 all by himself if he can stay in top form and keep his head right for the rest of the season.

And keep his head up!

Delighted with this news. This is a player I was worried about moving. Pined down for another 4 years. Get in Martinez.

When Kevin Mirallas bent in a magnificent free-kick in a game against Aston Villa — clinching a 2-1 victory four days after they had been thrashed by Liverpool — he, too, charged to the touchline to share the moment with Martinez.

‘I’d never celebrated with a manager at any point in my career,’ Mirallas explained. ‘The reason I did that day was because in the weeks leading up to it we had long discussions about how I could contribute more and improve.
‘He showed a lot of confidence in me, kept me in the side and I wanted to dedicate the goal to him.’

Arsenal were very interested. In talking with Wenger though, Mirallas was not assured the prominent role he desired. This was the same window in which they signed Podolski. In the end, Moyes flew out to Greece to meet with Mirallas to seal the deal.
