Kevin Mirallas

Why doesn't he play behind the striker more? Especially with Barkley out. I'd rather him there and Naismith on the right than Osman.

Though I concede he looks threatening there when we're holding leads for the last 15 minute when teams are pressing against us, maybe it wouldn't be as effective from the start.

Seamus giving Kev a special congratulations...

Did anyone else think he looked a lot more dangerous when operating from the left, he whipped in a few really dangerous in swingers and just looked a lot better. I'd like to see Mirallas on the left, Barkley down the middle and Deulofeu on the right when they are all fit.

And where then would pienaar play mate?

Don't mean to sound too blunt, but I cannot fathom why any evertonian would leave Steven pienaar out of their chosen starting 11. He is one of our most important players, especially the way we are playing under Martinez. He has an incredible football brain, sitting in the pockets inside from the flanks between opposition defence and midfield, takes the ball ANYWHERE whether under pressure or not, and retains it well in order to buy time for others like Baines etc to get up the pitch and attack.

I really think anyone who thinks the lad is anying other than a quality player needs to watch the arsenal game where he was absolutely superb.

Understand that Barkley, Kev, and Deu sounds dynamic, but having just 2 sprinters on each wing wouldn't allow us to play our game under Roberto IMO

Kev does play better from the left. But pienaar is very important for us. He is however getting older and I'd like to see more of Miralass/Deleufoe combo more later in games or when we're rotating.

Inconsistent and occasionally annoying.

Rather have him than not though, the lid is awesome when he's on his game, and does seem to "get it" when it matters (the derby, him giving Fellaini a b*llocking during the ill-fated Wigan match last season...)

I don't have a problem with him. He contributes well, just because he doesn't get the goals, he still plays an important part in our team. In fact he has the same amount of assists (5) as Hazard, Silva, Suarez, Brunt, Giroud.

I can see everyones frustration, when he plays well, he plays VERY well. It's annoying that he can't string a run of playing well together very often. But there's a lot of players in our team that can't, but don't get the negativity from the fans (such as Baines, Lukaku and Pienaar).

Out of the wingers (widemen) we have I think he's the best (apart from Gerry, but he's not ours ;) ). I personally think McGeady's signing is going to benefit him, perhaps with the timing of Barkley's injury, he'll slot into CAM (eventually), and perhaps rediscover he's goalscoring form he showed at his old club.

Play him on the left. He's better than pienaar. Pienaar is also coming to the end of his career, and will probably want to move back to south africa in a year or so.
