I'm trying not to get drawn in to this but I just noticed this on SSN. It was only updated about 10 minutes ago:

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11671/7991924/Everton-close-in-on-6m-Mirallas

A journo has quite likely picked the story up off here and it's started doing the rounds. I would be very surprised if we paid £5.3m for Mirallas AND a further £6m for the lad on trial. I think it will be one or the other and then we're on to loans and bosmans.

My view is that he's agreed to sign and wants to be in England before the season starts. I don't think any other club's late interest or bids for him will change anything now. DAVIDMOYES' confidence said it all.

davek = The sobering light of wisdom....just like waking up thinking you're lying next to a beautiful woman, turning over and seeing the most mind boggling freak you've ever laid your eyes on.

Lemon suckingly sobering.

That's why I prefer to stay drunk in the morn.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to fax my résumé to the Stepover Trinity in the hope they make it a quartet.

I just think this lad ticks all the boxes: pace, skill, goals, versatility and he's Belgian.

Hahaha. Loving the ingredients there. He'll make your perfect pie mate!

Don't understand why I'm being hounded for being hopeful and confident about the pull of Everton. They were just examples. Talk about missing the point and nitpicking and being negative.

No not at all mate and there's some right in what you're doing. We're Everton and were boss. We just need to be boss again as it's been beards since we were boss so lids forget or don't know how boss we are. Even if we know were boss.

If we went to Bayern he'd be behind Ribery and Robben in the pecking order. And at Arsenal there could be players like Walcott, Cazorla, Ox, Ramsey, Rosicky, Gervinho in his way. At least with us he'd be pretty much guaranteed to start every week. It's a shame that Fellaini isn't in the Belgian squad to have a word in his ear, but maybe they speak on the phone?

That's a mighty fine point Mr Copper. Suppose it depends how much confidence he has in himself to displace them though.

David Moyes has really pulled this one out of the bag. Clearly Mirallas likes Moyes if he agreed to sign so quickly. This is gonna be a good season. Fellaini being here helps, and Moyes/BK and co. must have done a great job of selling the club to him. Am I jumping the gun a bit?

just found this on twitter @godloveseverton I'm hearing that Mirallas had a clause in his contract at Olympiakos, that if Everton came in for him, he would be released for £5.3m
