Former first team regular Mirallas signs contract extension offered by Club, Seasons later faces fans anger because he refuses attempts to sell him/release him from his contract to save the Club money.

Why? Because we think he is a bad influence and ineffective on the pitch so, to acknowledge those failings he should give up a million plus of contractually agreed salary? No chance.

He’ll only go on terms that suit him, forget the Club and any misplaced sense of loyalty that he ‘should do the right thing’ to leave to play first team football elsewhere on revised terms.

His loyalty is to himself. International career is behind hum, Everton have turned their back on him, he’ll do what he is contractually obliged to do. Go to Switzerland, may even get a few minutes, go training, be on time. Here you go, that’s another £70k this week.

The past loans have gone sour, he isn’t a saleable asset, but he’s due his contract and ‘loyalty” bonus no doubt as part of that contract again this year.

He’ll get hawked round by us to anyone. Anyone will know we will have to pay the majority if not all we owe him to get him away from the training ground. Then he’ll leave officially next summer as his contract expires.

Oh, Kevin Mirallas. Only Southgate has made more millions from being best remembered for missing penalties.

I know he knows nothing but

I don’t blame him, or any other player who refuses to agree to lower wages, especially towards the end of the career. Most of the players barely have a secondary education, and this is the last guaranteed paycheck of their life. They are trained to do one thing in life, and they have a very finite income stream.

It’s up to the club to find a way to shift him out, without him losing a portion of his last paychecks. Very few of us would agree to that if we were in his shoes.

Doesn’t mean I want him here, I just understand why he refuses to take less.

If mirallas isn't set for life after what we've paid him over the years he's extremely stupid

Well, we want him gone, even a loan is him gone.

Ive no doubt we will loan him, I was just answering your question regarding the made up tweet.

Basically, we would rather sell/give him away and not have to pay him anymore.
He wants the last year of his 70k a week.
Any team that wants to "buy" him, cant and will not pay him 70k a week.
So yes, we will probably end up loaning him and paying the bulk of his wages.

I would honestly keep him over Bolasie.

Unless someone gives us actual money, give him some minutes as Lookman wants out and Yannick can go back to Palace.
