This is such a Moyes signing. Hard working, grafter, seen as more important than goals or actual quality.

As long as our manager wants players like this, we won't be going anywhere fast.

45 games. 19 goals. Large part of those games as sub. 9 goals so far this season

He scores, good touch, work rate and hold up play...gets in the right positions in a poor wolves side.

Doyles is 79 games, 16 goals for Wolves....

Doyle and Saha have the same GPM ratio, don't the?

Except one hasn't scored for 5 years and is completely clueless and has no work rate, and the other has great work rate and is a team player.

For me, there's no way we can pay £5m for Doyle. Also, his main strength is his work rate, and I don't see him as the 'goalscorer' we need. Think we should give this one a miss.

I'd rather have Fletcher. Disagree about his work rate, but he strikes me as a clever player who finds space and always seems to be on the spot to stck the ball home. Saw him score a beaut of a free kick in Wolves' last pre-season friendly before the season started too. Most WOlves fans reckon McCarthy should pair Doyle and Fletcher, but he rarely does. That's not our problem. But we need goals and a goal getter is what Fletcher is. Done it for too struggling teams in the Prem consistently.

Doyle would be a very good signing for us, depending on how he is used.

If he's used as a lone striker with no support, how we were playing earlier, forget it. Might as well just stick me up there.

If he's used in a 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1 or 4-4-2, he will be a very good player.
