No rumours or anything like that, just that I was thinking he might just do a job for us. He has the workrate of a typical Moyes player, used to know how to score a goal or two, is unsettled at Notlob and probably woyuldnt command a huge wage.

He might be the perfect foil for our Greek and Argie youngsters.

to be honest, if we were to go down the road of golden oldies i would prefer keven philips to davies...... philips may be 37 but he scores goals..... dont get me wrong ,, i would never sign somebody of that age,,, maybe beckham or giggs, but between davies and philips,,, i would take kev every time

2 or 3 years ago then yes. Great pro, tough as you like and grabbed goals.

His legs have gone this season. It was evident in the way he struggled at the start of the season and subsequently lost his place in the side. For Coyle and Bolton not to be selecting him regularly given how totemic he has been for Bolton in recent times it's evident that his best is behind him.

It catches up on all of us eventually.
