ok, ok... hear me out one second.

Lets say Kenwright secures good investment, the kind of secure investment that takes us onto bigger and better things, how will history remember Bill Kenwright?

The man who took control of the club at a perilous time, 'saving' us from the grasp of Peter Johnson.

Stuck with an experienced 'solid' manager in Walter Smith, persuading him to stay despite the lies spun to him by Johnson to get us through the most difficult of times. No matter what some think of Wally, the man somehow kept us in the Premiership for as long as he did.... a mystery when you think of Collins, Dacourt, Don Hutchison, Marco Materazzi, Nick Barmby, Francis Jeffers, Duncan Ferguson and Michael Ball just some of the players forced to be sold.

There is no doubt Smith should have left sooner than he did, when he was shown the door, Kenwright got his appointment spot on.

He ignored the media clambering for Andy Gray to take over and risked the wrath of the fans by employing a unproven, nobody... who has went on to significantly improve the overall quality of the side, winning manager of the year two times, an incredible feat.

The next chapter, Bill secures good solid investment, say, Anil Ambani who provides the funding to back Moyes to turn us into a real force.

How will Kenwright be remembered? The man who weathered the storm, providing stability and playing a crucial role in our history? I would like to think so.

I agree BK has done some good work, but in between all that good work he has acted like a snake, telling lies and making promises he cant keep, thats what i will remember him for. What ever he does next i cant forgive the lies hes told.

Time will tell. He gets a heck of a lot of criticism but as with most things, his legacy wont be decided until after he leaves. I would guess that if he can find a good investor who will take us on, he would be remembered fondly, if not quite as a legend

OK, one second, ive just got to get my Helmet on, because after ive said this i think Cal will try to kill me...

I think he s a good chairman, hes done as much as he can for the club, and he will only sell to people who he thinks will take the club forward and not meddle (like Abramovic etc...) which is good. So if he sells i think he would be great, he has put as much money as possible (that he has) to buy some players, and has been a good chairman. Now just after one bad summer, everyone gets on the back of him, but its not his fault he doesnt have enough money. Like i said he will sell to the right buyer, no one else. That is why he wants a letter of intent etc...

Ive said all that i need to say...

<runs>

IM 1 of BKs biggest supporters, i think the work he has done for us has been wonderful, yes he hasnt got enough money and i honestly think the DK move is being done for the right reasons, my beef with him isnt the work hes done, its the constant lies hes told.

Im sorry, but his watch this space interview was the final straw.

See what you mean, suppose a counter argument would be - is it a lie if it wasn't intentional?

Moyes said certain people let the club down big time with regards to transfers...

I mean, no one would say "watch this space..." if they knew full well nothing would come of it, leaving themselves wide open for criticism surely?

Yes i suppose he did got shafted at some point by some dodgy agents, but he didnt say anything for 6 weeks, 6 weeks he left us watching this space, he let us down and in my eyes he let himself down.

Also why hasnt he came out said something about this contract issue. Youve got Moyes saying its with the club, so hes blameless, but not a word from the club, im sick of being treating like a mushroom, its pathetic.

I think it will be remembered as being a disappointing time after every one had high hopes,I have not met one fan who was not delighted for Bill in achieving all our dreams of owning our club,Sadly Bill was not up to the job and his advisers let him down that two CEOs walked out tells its own story,Hand on heart I believe Bill wants what is best for the club, but has brought in backing from people who are not interested in us only how much they can gain, and have steered him to Kirkby via Tesco both in my humble opinion wrong then he was forced to mislead or as others might say lied to the fans ending in the famous watch this space which lost him a lot of respect.his treatment of shareholders contradicts his claim to being one of the boys it was paramount to taking a sledge hammer to crack a nut even if Bill pulls a rabbit out the hat his reputation is now tarnished and saying that dose not make me happy as some might think so a quick recap thanks bill for replacing Johnson but from there on you where a disaster although taking advice from Walter about his replacement was a wise thing to do.

Hard to know really isn't it.

The contract could very well be with the club, with a stick-it note from Moyes saying he wants assurances of £20m every season to spend... Its hard to know.

I said some time ago that I suspect an impending take over may be causing delays to the contract. Would the club give him a new contract if a prospective new owner would want to review the situation, a new contract for Moyes could effectively add £15m to the bill for any new owner, should they want a new manager.

On the other side of the fence, Maybe Moyes would prefer to seek assurances from a new owner with regards to his future. If someone takes over, theres no doubt rumours will be rife regarding Moyes' future, Theres nothing like dispelling such rumours than signing a brand spanking 5 year deal, offered by the new owner.

I hope one of the above is correct, rather than Moyes stalling, just waiting to play the "I have taken the club as far as I can with such resources" tagline....

To conclude. I haven't got a clue.

He's lied and lied to us many times so we wont crucify him but at the end of the day this man put everything he had into stopping us from going to the wall after Peter Hamperman Johnson ripped the balls out of this club of ours. He knew when he took over that he couldnt fund us. As an Evertonian he took over with one aim and that was to find a decent buyer who had the readies rather than watch us go under. Personally I'm 50/50 as to wether I like him or not but one thing he can never be accused of is taking Everton for a ride like Johnson did. This is why Kirkby is high on his list. It's aim is to find investors. Now I dont agree with Kirkby and never will but it wont stop me from supporting the club I've loved since I was a boy. So I guess Kenwright has done a decent job of rescueing us cos thats what it was all about when he took charge. We were drowning and he threw us a belt. He'll go down as the man that saved this club from sinking. Some wont see it that way but it's a fact. He's an Evertonian so that makes him one of us and anyone of us in the same possition would have done the same thing that he's done. Theres a lot more to this and I could go on all night but I've said my piece now. Some might crucify me but I believe I'm pretty close to the truth here. Good luck to the man (y)

Johnson got us 20-30 million in debt from what I remember, he was ripped to pieces and berrated for that. Has Bill not doubled our debt?

Just a question really, that's what I've read.

You don`t actually believe that Billy Bullshit will be leaving the club do you ? I can see him in some position, probably with far less power than he now wields.
I pray that it is a not too significant role.

I'm not sure he has that much power anyway. He brought people in and he's trying to keep them happy too.

His legacy will be of the man who blew it.

Sold most of our assets.

Sold our biggest star in generations.

Failed to land investment from anywhere in 8/9 years.

Has pushed Everton to the brink of administration because of DK delay.

Has added around £40m to the debt we had when Johnson was in charge.

The one good thing he did do was appoint Moyes as manager, and he even had to ask the man he was firing who should be his successor.

Has given Moyes, since he has been here on average per year, around £5/7m a season to buy players.
