Just took this from the Peoples Forum. The core of the interview:
Kirkby decision expected November
Give the manager every penny I've got
Borrow as much as possible from a very understanding bank
Broke transfer record every season for last four years
Would like to give Moyes more but Moyes can exist with what he's got (even if he wants more)
Billionaire Russian wanting to buy the club doesn't exist - and he's out there searching
Will only sell if he's certain as to an investor's intentions, but will be a "great" day when he does find the right person
Met Americans two years ago that he thought might be the ones, but they pulled out of negotiations before even making an offer
Met people in the last 5-6 months, who walk away impressed but never come back with an offer
Few irons in the fire, but no-ones banging his door down at the moment
Be great to say to the fans "I've found you the one"
Not fussed about being chairman, at the start of every meeting (presumably shareholder meetings...ahem...) he says "If you want me to stay, I'll stay; if you want me to step down, I'll step down, but more or less everyone wants him to stay"
"I'd have given up 16 Oscars to be a director at Everton Football Club"
"I neither want nor deserve praise for supporting David Moyes...if people can't see his genius...well..."
"James Vaughan is like a rubber ball...one of my favourite young players at Everton"
Four on a shortlist before he met Moyes. First man and last man he met. Moyes "really, really" wanted to manage Everton and told BK he'd always had an affinity for Everton and that this was the job he really wanted.
