For those who care one way or another it was one of our members he spoke too. He was very pleasant like and bizarrely wished us but the cheque thing was his parting shot.
 

Did anybody go to the awards last night? Did Howard actually say this : -

Howard, speaking at the Everton end of season awards dinner last night, said his team-mates were ready to learn from the mistakes of this season and, with the addition of some big names, will be ready to kick start next season with a bang.

He said: "Obviously it's be nice to be higher this year, but I get the feeling that next season will be different, for a lot of reasons.

"Because of the frustration of this year, but also because there will be some money spent and some big players coming in, so we're all excited about that."

Does he know something we don't, did somebody find a cheque book last night or is he just trying to make us feel good before our summer hols?
