Transfer Rumour Kenny Tete

That’s the hammer, many on here would rather he fails so they can say ‘I told you so’.
We must be the only fan base who slags off every player we’re linked with. There’s nothing wrong with aiming high but we’re not in that position at present.

Everton that………
We are linked to some right rubbish ATM - we never get those links hopefully --

I think that some logic needs to be applied to this kind of signing.

I mentioned in the Kyle Walker thread about the recruitment being about priorities. A free experienced Premier League player, who also has 10+ international caps, is something we should be looking at. That frees up cash to try and go big in other priority areas. Then in the next few windows we may then may be able to go big in the right back slot after the free signing has done a decent job for us.

Being honest I think most fans just like to give any new players a good coat of looking over before they give them the thumbs up or down but in the end we have no say in signing them——good job we don’t have a say otherwise it’s likely we wouldn’t sign any of them or bring in some not worth a bleedin’ carrot.

Yes there is ..... can se the whinging ahead now when he spends more time on the treatment table - its a gamble cheap as chips on paper = why?

Rather have their left back we gave away for peanuts TBH ......
It's a risk with any signing, Gueye could do an ACL in pre season, that is if he signs.

He sounds ideal - I agree - but some of those injuries are bad ones & if they recur its wages down the bin & treatment its a gamble - remember Saha he used to pull a hamstring getting out of his car for training ....
Yet when he played a game or two he was very good - we are considering another season for Coleman - who will play very little who I think should be demoted to coach - we need a fit RB - its a gamble & Marco Silva is no fool !

I feel If he was that great injury wise Silva would have offered him a new contract ? & guess his injury record has put him off ..
Seems they did offer him a deal.

Robinson was fit as a fiddle & a USA international sold to Wigan for just £1 million... Marco silva then our Manager took him to Fulham for £11 million-

an Everton That moment .....
Robinson "fit as a fiddle" 🤔
"However, the deal fell through when Robinson's medical examination at Milan revealed a heart rhythm irregularity for which further testing could not be completed before the deadline, and for which he would undergo an ablation procedure as treatment".

Some club has paid a British record fee ( €140mil +) for this Joey.
Plus astronomical wages.

They are all gambles.
Tete is a money free gamble.

A new contract signed before 30 June affects this financial year’s PSR.

A contract signed on or after 1 July affects the next financial year.

1. The effect will be minimal, we're talking one week's wages at this point.
2. He's still under contract with Fulham until 6/30 anyway.
