With respect, unless your source is boardroom level they'll be getting the same Kenwright flim-flam the rest of us have to endure.

Bill's looking for investors...the right sort of investors...ie the one's who **** off quietly if Bill demands to see their donation money.
 
To be fair I can see it being true.

The fa have to check all potential buyers finances, so if they bugger off when bill asks for it... They're not people you want at the club.

The RS for all their "there's loads of buyers waiting" have got nowhere with more investirs jumping ship. Even the Blackburn bid is probably not gonna happen, and even if it did I seriously can't see them having much money to spend - just look at Birmingham and their "mega rich" Carson yeung. Not a pot to piss in really

Big difference with all those examples mate is that they were real people. Bill negotiates investment deals either with fake operatives like Samuelson and his glamorous cast of international jetsetters or else has an internal diialogue with the other personality that controls his head.
 
There are advantages to having Kenwright. He loves the club, he must have a great relationship with Moyes, and I think he only wants what's best for Everton.

On the downside, it seems he lies, and perhaps doesn't actually want to sell. I don't think any of us are in a position to make anything more than an inference on his situation. But if he's looking for someone to heavily invest, without actually having full control of the club, we're going to be waiting a long, long time...
 
I suppose we should be making a big song and dance of every single person that declares an interest. You make something public if you want to attract others into the party, something I'm sure any serious investor would be really happy with us doing. BK isn't perfect by any means but some people sure are one eyed when it comes to him.
 
Why should he be lying? He's describing an identical situation that the [Poor language removed] have just had with this Huang feller. Sometimes I wonder if people just need someone to hate.

The Syrians you mean. KenWang proved (with his backers) that he had the funds to RBS (the only one who has/had incidentally) according to the Times.



I've had someone (as the buyer) try to sell me a business that were leading me to believe was bigger than my business. It turned out in the due diligence that the size was over-estimated with a similar size client base the actual profitable part was only 1/10 of my existing business. Exaggeration. Common place when someone's trying to sell something.

Bill's probably exaggerating here a little too. Its more like: probably a couple of people they thought were go-ers but when they did the investigations and asked them to put the funds up they did one.


Charlatans are around. Many businessmen building up their ego's claiming "I was looking at buying Everton". Attention seekers are everywhere.

It happens.


I actually think like Neiler on here, Kenwrights not looking at selling up. He's looking for an "investor" i.e. someone to take a % share of the ownership and bring funds in and to recoup that from an increase in share value (club value) due to increase in club turnover (and profitability WE HOPE!).

We want a specific kind of investment. Not an outright buyout of the board it seems.

Sensible way to go. Arsenal have had that happen and are now massively profitable.


People have missed the important point. Kenwright's not just going to sell all or part of his shares to ANYONE. And he's highlighting the number of JOKERS around in these bids.

Jokers that could WRECK Everton FC if they got their hands on us. WOULD YOU WANT A PHANTOM OWNER? Someone who claimed they had the funds but really didn't? Notts County. Portsmouth. West Ham. the list goes on.

I don't.

Have you though that maybe he's telling the truth? Did you see what happened at Liverpool, Pompey, Notts County, West Ham. Clubs who have been promised millions and it turns out that there's nothing at all.

Just think before you talk mate - or better still, support some other club!
