High Octane Teddy Sheringham more than a Paul Scholes I think zips the ball around at high speed and without doubt has the potential to be THE best attacking midfielder in the league.

I know alot of people want to keep Baines but with little money, an ageing squad and a new manager If it was me I would:

A-- Sign Honda (75k a week if needs be).

B-- Pay Fellaini 1-2mil to remove clause and extend contract

C-- Sell Baines / Heitinga / Anichebe

D-- Sign Strootman (15-18mil)

D-- Sign Redmond and Young (5mil)

Coleman / Hibbert
Jagielka / Stones
Distin / Duffy
Oviedo / Garbutt

Fellaini /Gibson
Strootman / Osman
Honda / Barkley
Pienaar/Young
Mirallas / Redmond

New forward /Jelavic


It's a bit FM but the squad looks massively younger and the potential with high speed all action hungry players is there.

I would HATE us to spend money on Kone (no re-sale value), ANY cash left over from the above SHOULD be spent on a top forward and peanuts on a keeper.

Honda /Fellaini / Strootman (or similar type central midfielder with world class potential for 15-18mil)....potentially the best midfield in the league with cover supported by a strong attack minded defensive unit.

I think the only way we can win his (Honda) signing is that we can actually offer him first team football in the Premier League. There is no way we can complete with A.C Milan with regard to wages and the brand (being realistic here). Honda will definiately get more advertisement income just playing for A.C Milan too. He is greatly popular in Asia and he makes a lot of money though non-playing career <same as Nakata>.

Generally speaking, I agree with your view. I hate to spend our precious money on aging average player like Kone. However, I like Baines too much, I won't sell him. I would love to sign Strootman but it is unlikely unless we sell Fellaini. I don't think Man Utd will let us have Young for merely £5m. He is an England international who is playing football at a top club so he will cost a lot.

so should he turn down the free transfer of Alcaraz because he isn't a marque sigining ?
