Kebabs, no competition. Post pub, late night, who on earth would choose a pizza when you could have kebab. Tahini sauce preferably ( which is hard to get in the north east for some reason) Donner, shish, kofta are far and away superior to any double pepperoni with extra mushrooms.

I can feel a Bank Holiday take away kebab coming on......

I prefer donner kebab, if only because they aren't on every street corner here in the US, where as pizza is. When I get over there I embarrass myself on donner.

I feel the same way about curry and also fish and chips.

Can't get really good curry in the Czech Republic and fish and chips is non existent. I plan to return to the UK for the first time in 9 years next summer and eat it all.

At uni I occasionally (by which I mean once a week) indulged in a 12-inch "Meat Monster" (yes, laugh it up...) - its toppings consisted of:
- Kebab meat
- Tandoori chicken
- Chinese pork
- Chilli ground beef
- Pepperoni
- Ham

Only in Stoke....

I once saw similar in a chippy in Kirkcaldy, except they deep fried the monster too.

I very nearly got thrown out, due to laughing so much at their " deep fried " section.

It was incredible, you could have anything off the regular menu, but then they`d deep fry it for you.

No wonder Gordon Brown, looks and talks the way he does.

The best places are usually found by the transport depots, especially in Prague outside of the centre of the city. But, there's a place in Plzen which puts everywhere else to shame.

But, I miss my fish and chips all the same. Also smoked haddock. I'll stop now, making myself sad and hungry.

Kebab, it's not even a contest for me. My fave fast food by miles. Get myself a kebab at least once a week. Will be more as soon as the stadiums open again. Ending the day with a döner kebab is an integral part of my match day routine.

I think you were ravenous and as a consequence delirium had set in. The resulting sugar rush led to an amount of endorphins being released and you felt happy as a result.

Sort of... I burned a slice of cheese pizza because we got one of those combination toaster oven/air fryers in and I can’t get the timing right.
