Money is irrelevant imo. He embarrassed himself on a global scale, there's no erasing this. If people say Kiev, they'll think of him. He can't get away from it, it will haunt him forever. Money is only good in the sense that it can provide freedom. Above a certain point it's useless, unless you harbour strange desires. They might make good money, but they can hardly go out and about without being bothered. Imagine being chased by grown men in full kits asking for a selfie while you're trying to buy a cauliflower. Horror.

Having said that, I have every sympathy for the lad and wouldn't want to be in his shoes.

Who cares? He's just single handedly lost them the most important game they've played in for more than a decade. I'm a good lad too but if I go into work and constantly mess up I'll get canned and that's the way of the world, while he will continue to collect millions. He should refund some of the supporters who spunked loads and witnessed that. Not one evertonian will want him dead, we view him as a legend now. They're so so thick, they're the same fans who burn the shirt of every good player who leaves them. That's how bitter they are.
