I think they want Terry to take a role of "Jagielka" for them, and then they will pursue Toure and Lescott, hoping that one of them will move with Arsenal or Everton lowering their asking price. But realistically they will probably end with Toure-Lescott at the back.

Against a team playing in the fourth division of the Dutch amateur league? I know we're awful, but that is taking the piss.

Don't ask me. Just watched the game in advance.

Your centre half will score with a bullet header first goal.

If Lescott wants to go, no point in saying no. He will just not play his heart out for us and will be a negative influence.

The buggar, really is not withstanding Lescott, our manager is trying to build a team up, to compete. We have little money, then the clubs with money come and buy success by unsettling your best players and pinching them. So can we ever hope to get any where?:dodgy:

It's very frustrating for everyone involved and that's why we need (the right) investment. Moyes is working wonders and I still believe we'll finish fift next season (with or without Lescott). We desperately need more resources though, so we can keep our top players at any costs.

If he was to do that he would be putting his place in the England squad for next years world cup in jeopardy.

Lescott will have to put in a series of fantastic performances if he wants to go the world cup with England.

He wont be able to sulk, he will have to play.

Lescott would be very expensive

20 mill ain't enough, remember we paid 15 mill for Fellaini, who still has a long way to go before he is on Lescotts level (as an England international etc.). If we get 25 mill , I'll let him go. Don't think it would happen tough, because Jagielka is out until November.

I've had a bad feeling about Lescott since the FA Cup waves goodbye. Terry is staying at Chelsea no doubt. We simply need the money 10 million profit plus Jo isn't the end of the world. Remember when AJ left he wasn't able to say anything. I believe Azzbots mate on this one.

I like Lescott and he is talented but Yobo and Jags with Rodwell filling in we have strength in the middle. We could see Neville go back to right back so we can use the money to strengthen the midfield. Mixed emotions on this one but the Rooney money helped us. It's getting to be a shell game anyway.

No it's not.. but it's not enough to be worth it for me. While I think Rodwell is going to become a great player, I've only seen him in midfield during this season. So I'm very reluctant to rely on him as a CD for most part of this season with Jags injured and Yobo leaving for ACN. The money we get from the sale must cover a new CD/LB or a CD and a LB, good enough to keep us fighting for the European slots. So we need to get enough cash to get that fixed and have a sum left afterwards for it to be worth it in my eyes.

When Rooney left it was easier to improve the squad and the money we got helped us improve the squad in almost every position.
