I not its not popular to ever have a little go at Moyes but he is generally percieved by football people as being a bit or a nitemare in the market , I suppose it could be described as 'careful' but he certainly frustrates a lot , it's been said to me only
Minutes ago "hes got half the Rodwell money to spend but the problem can be getting him to actually spend it"

I have never understood the amount of support that Vellios gets.He had a couple of promising appearances when he first came into the team and scored some good goals. After that his impact diminished and when I saw him play in a couple of reserve games he looked very ordinary.
I think there is potential there. If he has the proper attitude he could become a very good player, but I think that David Moyes will forgive a lot of failings but not a poor attitude.I think the fact that he has been moving away from the first team rather than getting closer does suggest there are question marks over him, what Fox has posted above would seem to confirm this.

Anichebe is an enigma. He has everything to be a great player, big, strong, fast, athletic,a good touch and a very good finisher. He should be a great footballer and I think the manager is keeping him hoping that some day that player emerges.
At present he can be too lazy, disinterested, too easily knocked down etc.
If Anichebe played to the best of his potential we could have a player worth in excess of 20m,but little glimpses four of five times in a season will never be enough.

imagine if the big dope put half the effort that Osman, Hibbert etc play with

That's been said for years. I dont buy into it. If he gets hold of money he can spend it...and often at the death of a transfer window too. So much for his dithering with cash. £15M for Fellaini last minute of the window.

That line about him not wanting to spend is strictly for the birds. It's a line that's trotted out to suggest the board are doing something right. They're not. They are a ****ing calamity on all levels.

.

Got to disagree with a lot of this mate. He is big but not in a typical footballer way. He carries far too much muscle up top and I put his size down as a reason for at least a few of his injuries. He's not that strong either, many a time he's been lashed to the floor by a smaller player. He's also got the touch of a carthorse and before this season seriously lacked any type of finishing ability whatsoever. I'll give him last season as he did put away a few decent goals but overall he's never, ever looked a natural goalscorer.

IMO he's a poor mans Heskey. I'd sooner go with Vellios all day. The fact he had a poor game at Fulham and he was expected to give the giants of Stoke a game on his own mean nothing to me.

When he was on the pitch and chances presented themselves he took them no problem.

If him and Vic played a season together up top Vellios would outscore him all day.

Yes mate posted in the other thread last night I'm told that it's believed he's got £6m to spend , could be a clever rise to help is haggle but I don't think so . I'm actually quite pleasantly surprised its as much as '6 ish' I thought he'd get £4m . Sad reflection on our or rather my expectations I suppose

It's all about opinions mate but this is something I've personally heard from 3 people in the game , he is percieved as the king of 'keep me informed' and I've heard the phrase 'he'll talk himself out of it though ' more than once. In his defence it might be because of he pack of money he has but he is considered incredibly frustrating by the people I know and I think fox hears the same

Is that why we didn't sign Demba Ba?

Also didn't Pranjic say exactly that? He was sick of waiting. He'd have been a great signing on a bosman.
