For me I think Neville Southall is up there with the all time greats of the goal keeping world- he really was that good. If he wasnt a scruffy welsh man with a dodgy tash and maybe an Italian or Brazilian people would absolutely rave about him on the world stage.
I have a real affiliation with Kanchelskis- I was in a corporate box when he made his United home debut and I always remember him picking up the ball on the edge of his own area and ran like a gazzelle beating about 3 players and having a shot at the other end. Wow. At 13 years old I had a new favourite player and when he signed for us I literally wet my kecks.
When I first starting getting really into football I was pretty young and the name I always wanted to be was Gary Lineker. You have to say he was a great finisher. Just imagine our team with him in it in his pomp now.
