He needs to look in that Depression and mental health thread on here and hang his head in 'kin shame, the nobhead.yeah, I don't agree with 99% of the stuff you come out with Davek but that comment is in very poor taste

You won't see many poorer spot kicks than that this season,or was it arrowing to the top corner while I glanced away from the screenYeah penalty saves are dead easy eh mate.
?Not funny. God knows I disagree with Dave a lot but don't use mental illness as a jibe please.I’m genuinely starting to think you’re mentally ill ya know.

Did the 1st goal take a deflection or not?
I don't like agreeing with commentators as a rule but I think Matthew Upson got it right when he said their goal couldn't have been stopped if we had two keepers.Ha Ha Ha.
His clumsy challenge in the first 10 minutes could have seen us out of that competition in one fell swoop...literally. And their goal was right at him and he lost the flight of the ball.
The jury is very much still out on a GK displaying decision making like that.
Not knocking him because I'm a big fan, but if he doesn't save that pen after going the right way then I'd be very very disappointed. How many "poor" spot kicks do you see that go in though? Plenty. If Pickford goes the wrong way, then it's a great pen and the striker has "kept a cool head". No penalty save is easy, not one ever.

Very harsh to say otherwise.

I think that's pretty much right, I don't think it was down his throat though. He will make errors of judgement, everyone does, but I think he will make far fewer than most as time progresses. If it was either side of him then a Howitzer like that IS unstoppable. However, it was right at him and just moved a foot or so. He didn't follow the flight of the ball.
A GK at that level should be able to stop those right at them from that distance, changing ball flight or not.
In any case, it was the lunge for the 'pen' that was the worst error of judgement.
Ha Ha Ha.
