Fair doo's.

I thought he was pants vs Everton last season and admittedly hadn't seen him play an awful lot otherwise so had my reservations given the circumstances. However he looked very assured and quite fired up for the game last night. Couple of good moments where quick thinking allowed him to clear the danger.

He can also kick the ball really far.

He was their best player when we played them at the Stadium of Light. Stopped it being 6 or 7.

Yes he was pants against us last season but he did have mitigating circumstances. He had just returned from an injury and it was his first game for quite a while.

Couldn't really judge him from last nights game as he didn't really have much to do but from what little he had to do he was OK.

I do believe he will be a great signing for us.
 

He's boss. He was clearly boss at Sunderland when nobody else cared (apart from Defoe). He'll be boss for us for many years to come. Does the simple things properly. Reads the game well. Will be England's number one soon I imagine (not that we care obviously).
 
How can I be thinking that spending £30m on a goalie was a bargain ?

Distribution is outstanding.

Could easily have a few assists this season with 'long balls' to run onto.
 
Looks very very decent already. Fills me with confidence and has number 1 on his back as should every good keeper ;)
