His left foot lands independently and his right foot lands 4 yards from the goal line. He's a goalkeeper. He's supposed to prevent goals from being scored. He's not even looking at the West Ham player so there's no intention and he could have simply taken a step back from Pickford after taking his shot to avoid any contact. If that's a red card and penalty then jeepers surely the game is sanitised enough without reducing the role of a goalkeeper to a passenger by not allowimg them to try and make a flying save 4 yards out from their own goal line...
One of the best to do it Peter Schmeichel was famous for his star jump saves...would that be a red card as well if a player landed under his foot?

That was a terrible tackle by Jordan Pickford that could have left Taty Castellanos(?) with a serious injury. Let's be honest, if an opposition keeper did that to one of our players and got away with it, the fan base would be coming out with all sorts of conspiracy theories about how the footballing world and its dog has it in for Everton.
