He’s a highly adept keeper. I know he gets a lot of stick mostly because of his perceived personality and to some degree I sort of get that but there is no denying his talent

FWIW I criticized Pickford but also do not think Begovic should be in net. That Villa game still haunts me.

Some people just think what they’re told to by the media. ‘Pickford shouldn’t be England’s number one, he makes errors and needs to calm down’. Even a calendar year of almost mistake free very good goalkeeping can’t get them out of this mindset
