Lol it’s his fault we create nothing too, it’s his fault we don’t look like scoring and it’s his fault we’re so slow and can’t play football in the opponents halfHe threw away what would have been a decent 0-0.

Should charge at that cheater instead of retreating half way through his run to tighten up the angle.Think his distribution is massively overrated, for ever decent kick out he’ll do a couple of gash ones.
on the second goal you’d always back the striker tbf but still, he does give him a bit too much of an angle and also he did his usual start to run out then hesitate and retreat so he’s neither here not there.
fundamentally he’s just a dreadful keeper that through whatever reasons has an uncanny knack at conceding a shocking amount of goals
To be fair, i would not take anything Everton 1953 says serious on any thread lolLol it’s his fault we create nothing too, it’s his fault we don’t look like scoring and it’s his fault we’re so slow and can’t play football in the opponents half
I had to read it twice to realise it was tongue in cheekTo be fair, i would not take anything Everton 1953 says serious on any thread lol
If we are going to be a top side we must get a 6 ft 5 keeper who can command his area.
I don’t like keeper who cannot come out to claim high ball and crosses due to height issue. He might save the first goal if he has the same height and longer arms like Olsen. Our (and indeed the worlds) best ever keeper was the same height as Pickford.
We just need a good one, height doesn't matter (as long as hes not like 4 foot 11).
He didn't do anything wrong today to be fair, he didn't have the opportunity to.
To be fair, Ring Master does not like me because I make an occasional not very subtle swipe at his Everton Womens' column that he so faithfully churns out, the one that almost nobody responds to. More power to his elbow I say; he really perseveres and should be congratulated for his dedication. To be fair, i would not take anything Everton 1953 says serious on any thread lol

It is a issue because no PL team will be stupid enough to have a 178cm keeper. And a keeper with good height is always a bonus and advantage.A goalkeeper can use his hands (obviously...) anyone from 5 foot 10 upwards it really shouldn't be an issue. Get your basics right and you should be able to claim every ball.

Can’t recall one in recent years though. Think most PL starting keepers are like 6 ft 3.That's purely because goalkeepers don't tend to be that height. There have been a few throughout history (Campos, Higuita, Barthez, Bonetti off the top of my head) and they don't get dwarfed in the goal or anything.
Obviously two equal goalkeepers of differing heights then you pick the bigger one but a good keeper will be able to deal with crosses regardless of height. Pickford struggles with them not because he is small but because he is a rubbish goalkeeper with terrible basics.
