I think he'll be okay this season. Its is last chance really, and with the Euro's next summer will be doing everything to keep his England place. With midfield re-enforced, it will take the pressure of the whole defence and expect Pickford to also step up. Sticking my neck out but reckon he will look like a new keeper and get back to like he was in his first season

....in other words, you hope he doesn’t have as much to do.

Seems to me that he lacks confidence and tries to mask it.

The origi goal knocked the stuffing out of him and hes really got to listen to Ancelotti and the keeper coach and try to get back to the form when he first arrived.

Theres a top quality keeper there ability wise but he needs to sort his head out.

His problems haven't really been because of being under sustained pressure, the defence was largely well organised under Carlo

I'm not excusing his crap form. He has stalled massively in the last year or so and is making the same mistakes over and over.

However, he will be helped by having a functioning side in front of him - something which he hasn't exactly had at all last season. In fact, the last time he looked consistently good was the end of 2018-19 when Silva had us playing pretty well.

It's a bit of both. If we can get Romero in to add a bit of pressure, then that's sound.
